Christine Community Outreach Inc. is a family orientated nonprofit 501 (C) (3) established in 2020 by Lakeisha Freeman and operated by her and her immediate family. Why are we the best charity to donate to? I'm glad you asked, we provide basketball clinics, public speaking events, skill training, and so much more for the community. Each individual brings their own unique talent and testimonies to the table to reach one collective goal. Our goal is to make a difference in lives of others. The business name was developed in honor of their family tree. Christine Roberson Wright was the matriarch of the family. She went home to be with the Lord July 2012.
Christine Roberson was married to Genine Wright, and together they created five children. The two raised many other children outside of their five. Genine a strong man during his time. He was an owner of several acres of land, a war Veteran that held a Purple Heart, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a strong businessman. After Genine Wright went home to be with the Lord. Christine had to carry on this strength.
Christine was described as a hard worker, humanitarian, community leader, and civil rights advocate. She was responsible for getting the speed limit reduced in her community because she cared about the safety and well-being of others in her community. She felt the 55 MPH speed limit was a hazard because of the number of elderly, disable, and special needs individuals that lived in her community, even though it was a rural highway. She worked in the medical field assisting others for over 30 years until her health failed. She would transport individuals to the voting poll in the community and work at the polls each election. To keep the community involved and beautified she started a community club call the Hexlena Women's Auxiliary. These ladies would meet once a month and address the community needs such as trash clean up, the sick and shut in, people that need assistance, motivational speaking, and so much more.
Lead by example. The strength and example started at the head and has expanded within the family. Lakeisha and her family's desire is to continue her grandmother's legacy and continue to help the surrounding communities.
To bring inspiration to the youth while helping build family bonds, through education, positive engagement, and goal setting.
We are allowing the next generation an opportunity of advancement and wealth by preparing them through mentorship, life skills, networking, and planning.
